SENIOR PASTOR: Dr. Rodger Williams Rodger is a Kansas City, MO native, and after a brief career in professional baseball, graduated from William Jewell College in 1973. He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1981, and earned his Doctorate of Ministry degree from Western Seminary in 1994. Rodger met his wife Candace while serving as a summer pastoral intern at Faith Evangelical in Cincinnati (1980). Rodger and Candace were married the following summer at Word of Life, in Schroon Lake, NY, where Candy grew up. Rodger and Candace have two children: a daughter Catherine Dewberry, who resides in Franklin, Tennessee with her husband Ashly and their daughter Madison. Their son Keith, who plans to be married in 2012, lives in Tennessee as well. Rodger served as an associate pastor for two years in Columbus, Ohio; as Senior Pastor in Mabton, Washington for seven years, and since March of 1990 has served as the Senior Pastor of WCBF. Besides a passion for the church and preaching the Word, Rodger loves to play golf when he gets the chance, and is an avid follower of the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. ASSOCIATE PASTOR - Ryan McCreeryRyan was born and raised in Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1999. After college he worked for three years as a business consultant for Accenture before following the Lord’s calling into vocational ministry. To prepare him for that calling, Ryan earned a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2007. During his time in seminary, he served on staff at Northwest Bible Church in Dallas, Texas in a variety of roles over eight years. Most recently he served as the Minister of Small Groups. It was at Northwest where Ryan met his wife Amber, who grew up in the Dallas area. Ryan and Amber have three children: Cadence, Colby, and Campbell. In January of 2011, Ryan joined the staff of WCBF and will be serving as Associate Pastor. He looks forward to utilizing his shepherding and administrative gifts as he builds into people and encourages them to live with a greater sense of mission for Christ. WORSHIP LEADER/YOUTH PASTOR: PJ Berner PJ grew up in Texas. After his time at The Master’s College in California, he attended Dallas Theological Seminary where he received a Th.M. in Biblical Exegesis. Since graduating from college, PJ has been involved in youth and worship ministry. While at DTS, PJ served as youth pastor at Grace Bible Church. PJ met his wife, Amanda at Master’s, and they have two children, Joshua and Annie. His passion for youth and worship stems from a desire to see the glory of God further magnified in the lives of His children. CHILDREN'S MINISTRY DIRECTOR: Romelia Quick Romy grew up just down the road on I-70 in Odessa. She met her husband Matt while attending the University of Central Missouri and they married in 2002. After living in Texas for over four years, they moved back to Missouri and have been residing in Blue Springs since 2006. She is the mother of three girls; Kaylin, Elayna, and Claire; and loves doing anything that involves having the family together. She also likes to scrapbook any chance she gets, which isn’t often enough! Romy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Texas Woman’s University in 2006. Before coming on staff at WCBF, she served as a Parent Educator for the Blue Springs School District’s Parents As Teachers Program for three years. “I understand the importance of a strong children’s program that provides Bible-centered teaching and activities. I also believe it is important for the church to come along side the parents as they strive to instill Christian values in their children. As the Children’s Ministry Coordinator, I hope to build upon these areas within WCBF.” |

CHURCH SECRETARY: Pam Finter Pam Finter grew up in Bonner Springs, KS, and moved to Blue Springs when she married her husband, Phil, in 1993. They have three children: Kyle, Keith, and Claire. She and her family have been at Woods Chapel since 1999, the year Pam received Christ and was baptized. She has volunteered in many capacities at Woods Chapel, most recently on the worship slide team. She has a B.S. in journalism from the University of Kansas. She covered the education beat at the Olathe Daily News and then was associate editor of a trade magazine before choosing to stay home and raise her children. She enjoys reading, music, multimedia and desktop publishing, listening to podcasts, and cake decorating. She is honored to serve the Woods Chapel family. ACCOMPIANIST: Liz Negus Liz is an enthusiastic gifted musician. She has two grown children: Ben and Kristen. She works in the office of a local pediatrics facility. She's been using her musical talents for the Lord here at Woods Chapel Bible Fellowship since 1990. We have been blessed as a congregation for her many faithful years of service to God's people, for His glory. |
