Our church depends on our volunteers. Our Sunday School teachers, Nursery and Toddler workers, Happiness Club helpers, AWANA and VBS programs all need volunteer staffing. Church membership is not a requirement, but a relationship with Jesus Christ is a must. If you have a desire to volunteer in any area, we encourage you to make the offer known by emailing the church office or calling 816-228-1411. You can also submit the Contact Form or note you'd like to volunteer on the tear-off portion of the bulletin on Sunday, and placing it in the offering plate. We also need volunteers for the following:

CARE/MEALS MINISTRY: The Care Meals Ministry is a tool by which the Body of Christ serves one another in love in the event of a sickness, outpatient or inpatient surgery, birth of a baby or prolonged illness or recuperation. The Care Meals Ministry leader may be approached for meal needs by the family in need, or members of the church. She will contact the family to determine the length of time meals will be needed, the number of people to prepare for, dietary restrictions and preferences. If you enjoy cooking and would like to help in this ministry, see Lorna Simpson, or contact the church office.

CHURCH WORK DAY: Periodically the deacons hold an all church Work Day to help maintain our facility. Bring your tools, your energy and talents to keep our building in top notch order. Call the church office, or check the calendar on this site, to see when the next scheduled work day will be held.

FELLOWSHIP EVENTS: Cindy Parkes is our Fellowship Coordinator. She plans church picnics, potlucks, socials, Dinners for Eight, all great opportunities to meet new people and enjoy one another’s company. If you’d like to volunteer to help in this ministry please email her or call 816-833-3143.

MOWING: If you would like to volunteer to mow our lawns, or perhaps you have a green thumb and would help us keep our landscaping free from weeds, we’d welcome the help! Notify the church office of your availability, or use the Contact form. We have a riding lawnmower, so you won't have to push!

LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE: Have a green thumb? Each spring we need someone to care for our landscaping. Weeding, pruning and general maintenance is required. The planting and watering of additional annuals is needed as well. If this is of interest to you, please call the church office at 228-1411, or notify us of you desire to help by filling out the Contact Us form.

WEB DESIGN OR WEB ADMINISTRATION: If you have built webpages before and enjoy the technical side of HTML, CSS etc., and would like to be included on our webpage team, please talk to Rodger Williams or Candy Williams. A knowledge of Adobe's Dreamweaver, Phohoshop and the other products in the Design Suite CS4, would be helpful, but not necessarily required depending on your previous experience. If your bent runs more to the graphic arts side of things, we could use you as well. As long as you could save your graphics in jpg, gif or png, no matter the program you use, they'd be usable both for our website and for various advertising opportunities and our preaching series.
